Eva Chen Fall 2012 쭯 “Elegance”
March 19, 2012
Eva Chen celebrated elegance and the most feminine silhouette with incredible detailing and accents. The Vancouver based designer (who has been in the industry for a short two and a half years) has produced shows in through Western Canada and Seattle and is quickly making a strong impression on Toronto.
The focus of Wednesday?s show was both luxury and inspiration for women. Combining elements of wool, Thai silk, lace and leather in pant suits, stretch one-piece dresses and gowns with intricate beading and cut outs; Eva went body conscious, A-line and beyond. Asymmetrical detailing in sleeves, necklines and colouring created interest and exaggerated shoulders on both jackets and dresses looked sharp. The palette was a mix of creamy nudes with vampy purples, green, black and charcoal and the final look was both a show and heart stopping wine red, full length gown, carefully detailed with black, opalescent feathers.
Eva is fast becoming a global fashion figure and will be opening her first store in Beijing in the coming year.
