Flashback Friday | Eva Chen
Looking back again to a previous Vancouver Fashion Week, designer Eva Chen with her brilliant and captivating designs stood out at the March FW 2012 show. Her designs exude elegant, structured, and tailored clothes designed to subtly enhance the female figure.
Eva always had a passion for dancing and drawing, even from a young age and she expanded those horizons to include her study of fashion and art at a fashion institute. After her studies, Eva spent some quality time traveling the world, and becoming inspired by the different cultures and countries around the world. Due to being well travelled, Eva uses her experiences and sews them into the seams of her designs and garments. Her designs have a real international feel, stemming from her travels and wide perspective.
Eva is continually pursuing her brand, Eva Chen, and creating a name for herself in North America through her innovative designs.
Her collection from FW 2012 displayed a mixture of cream and black, with extravagant head pieces, feathers and tightly cut tailored pieces. Eva’s designs are versatile and appropriate whether going into the office, or to a cocktail party. I am in love with her Black Swan inspired collection, full of feathers and full skirts all embedded with black fabrics and textures. If you missed her Black Swan Collection at Vancouver Fashion Week, here is a link to a video; it’s worth the watch, trust me.
